Fragility does not impact each person equally. Even when experiences seem similar across genders, women and girls face unique challenges that can interact and compound in ways we may not fully understand. To disentangle where we stand, what we know, and how we should move forward, Fragile Lives 2025 is putting a special emphasis on empowering women and girls. This session will dive into the status quo of sexual violence in conflict, present novel research insights on how we can improve the lives and livelihoods of women and girls, and seek to understand what policies and programming we know to be effective.
