The Middle East continues to be riddled with a series of related wars. Beyond threats to physical well-being, these violent conflicts also put psychological well-being at great risk. At the same time, access to mental health care is extremely limited in these settings. The aim of this session is to bring together academics, practitioners and donors to discuss the contours, causes and consequences of mental health problems in the Middle East and ways of providing support with these problems.
