We conduct research and facilitate collaboration to contribute to achieving global food security and sustainable agriculture
The Zero Hunger Lab is a joint initiative between the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ) and Humboldt-University of Berlin.
The Zero Hunger Lab aims to deepen our understanding of food security, of the interplay between individual choice and institutions, and of the impacts of crises and crisis interventions on hunger around the world, at different stages of socio-economic development. The Zero Hunger Lab will conduct research, establish innovative interdisciplinary scientific collaborations, provide education and training to the next generation of scholars and experts, and connect partners from research, practice, and policy to support its mission. In doing so, the Zero Hunger Lab contributes to the global effort to end hunger and achieve sustainable agriculture, in line with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 2.
